Forgiveness
Forgiveness is important for everyone,
Although everyone knows about it,
About its importance, its benefits, and its healing,
Its existence, we tend to forget.
Bruises, tears, and tattletales,
hate plagues our hearts and minds
But peace and tranquility overcomes
As forgiveness untangles our binds
Forgiveness is like an angel
When you forgive, you are afloat, high in the sky,
Forgiveness is like hot tea,
As you forgive your heart warms up,
Like sipping a warm cup of hot tea.
Forgiveness heals the heart and soul
No malice, so no Christmas coal
Forgiveness is the sugar in a cake,
A relationship of balance, give or take
Forgiveness is the opposite of hate
Like god is the opposite of the devil
Forgiveness is a bandage of remedy,
It can patch up and restore our life
Forgiveness…
Such a word that has a glowing halo.
Can heal everyone

This piece was written a year ago when I was in my living room frustrated that I had to stay at home with my family. With yelling and screaming of my younger sister and my mom frantically trying to find her homework that she did last night. When all these situations had happened I decided to forgive them and that's when I thought I should write about this piece. This piece was just me putting my thoughts and ideas into paper and after I had finished I felt relieved. Writing has been one of the ways that I could express myself and I take writing and the act of forgiveness for granted.
