Foggy Hopes of Nature
the morning breeze whispered
its way across the valley
as its fingers brushed the bald forest-
empty and ruined with stumps
burning tears of a mother
were shed with mountainous weight,
upon the dark streams
upon the sordid plains
what once teemed with life
turn to replacements of plastic waste-
Mother Nature's pleas
went unheard and ousted away
as night lays upon
the desolate bed of sands,
the twilight fog
embraced the earth
morning dews bids greeting
as a gladiolus awaken
from its drunken slumber
