If Covid and I Could Converse
Yo, you’re teensy
Tiny little germy bits
Of landscape in my world
Yo, you enter me screaming
“Girl, yo’ gon die!”
Yo, I fight with madness
Erase your sadness
Triumph o’er you
And smack-dab down.
Pitiful existence—tha’s the one
You have.
Yo, lost in the cosmos
While fire shakes the earth
Spraying terror in its wake
Evil like the bitter noon-day
In which your loved one goes.
