Into the Unknown
You would go to the woods
Dark and sombre
Following the aroma
Sweet with mystery.
You will sally forth…
Barefooted,
Harnessing the moon filled eyes,
Musing the day’s song.
They’ll put a damper on your spirits. Floss it away.
Your hair scampers, hope it shatters,
“Naïve” they whisper.
But you have a heart so strong
Cover those gossamer thoughts.
Shut them away. Deep inside darkness.
Slay it with your tresses, lurched ago.
Dark and sombre, they are.
The aroma you followed will drift into mist.
They’ll trail behind your shadow.
I wrote this piece in Women's Day and it showcases the power a woman holds however low esteemed the world thinks of them. This piece remarks the woman warriors to hail and not wither. If they can bestow their power positively, a lot of amends are indispensable to arise.
I hope I have enlightened my readers by providing an essence of purity and a lurch towards success.
Thank you for reading!
