Sadness
Sadness creeps up
Like water overflowing a cup
Light blue tears spill
Rolling down my cheeks like a hill
Thought kept hidden; traced in the back
Of a mind which lacks
Happiness
Death, insanity, no confidence
Are these thoughts that are ominous
Painting a blue liquid
In my heart; so sickened
My head clouds; my heart feels heavy
A heavy that’s dense, deadly
My eyes no longer look up; they look down
Against the floor; without a sound
My lips don’t smile or laugh
Just frowning as if facing wrath
Getting away from the sadness; it’s difficult yet I must
Its direction is not just
To me, but also to all I trust
Fading like iron that rusts
From a reddish-brown tint
Spreading out like grain; a hint
Of the sadness built inside
My mind
