Chocolate Pumpkin Muffins
I made chocolate pumpkin muffins
Which never toughen
Always having a smooth texture
Along with a rounded fixture
Orange and brown mixed together
From the resulting weather
Of ingredients
The pumpkin puree mashes
Across the mixture’s masses
Maple syrup splashed
Across like creek water; slashed
The wet and dry ingredients
An expedient
Of flavor
The mixture becomes moistened
Hoisted
Into a soft, thick batter
Now rolled into rounded matter
Placed on the tray
And baked through the oven’s rays
Of thermogenic heat
Once it’s done and cooled,
I taste the food
The savory flavor
Never wavers
A flavor of vanilla extract
Cocoa powder, and chocolate chips intact
Among the various components
Of the muffins; creating enjoyable moments
