Under the Mask
Some days we feel on top of the world, and others we aren’t sure if we are even alive. We look in the mirror and we see all the insults we’ve heard. We look to friends and we know they’re fake. We know will never be good enough. We know no matter how hard we try to be what everyone wants us to be, the standard will change as soon as we get there. We’ve gotten really good at smiling even when we’re in pain. And on an off day but everything seems to be going fine we still feel empty.
