The Creek
The Creek
Adam and I amble,
listening to the elegant sound of nature.
We feel free as we wander around this untouched land
and the sound of birds singing and crickets chirping
fills the otherwise quiet woods.
The creek flows gently, and the miniscule insects stride across
it, as we calmly stroll through
this unfamiliar land, a mess of green and brown.
Though we are by ourselves
we are not lonely.
We are in a community of creatures so filled with life
that we are never alone.
Everywhere we go
we are accompanied
by the sound of nature.

"The Creek" was my very first time trying to write poetry and it was a very fun and unique experience. It is about me and my childhood friend strolling through the woods in our backyard, admiring the beauty around us.
