Instant Gratification's Allure
How often do we
succumb to the enticing notion of pleasure,
be it in any forms?
How often do we
realize the aftermath of such actions,
be it in any forms?
It may be inconsequential,
a person may thought
when they carelessly fed themselves -
of the fruits of gratification.
Yet, of the fruit, within -
its poison slowly took control.
Destroying the person, robbing them
of impulse control, morality, and will.
How often do we
let pleasure lead us astray into a trap?
Be it in any forms?
How often do we
learn from mistakes of the aftermath
be It in any forms?
