Chains and Dandelions
Untie my feet from the ground,
I’ll be your pilot, your personal guide.
Let’s fly to a space void of concerns,
A place where we belong.
My flying dandelion,
Who made its way to my stormy direction.
You have traversed a thorny path,
But you’re finally here in front of me.
Finally reaching out, breaking free.
You bring the brightness to my life,
An omen of good luck in the silence.
You bring me hope, warmth
And a bounteous of hope
So come,
I’ll show you the way,
Just let me out of my chains.

I'm inspired by the idea of companionship and overcoming difficulties in life. I incorporated nature into the poem to show a contrast between human to human interactions and human to nature interactions. I enjoy writing poems in vague language, so readers can interpret it in any way they wish. For different types of people, the meaning of freedom and companionship may be completely different. My goal is to spark curiosity and the ability to think deeply in my readers.
