Despondency
All smiles disappeared
The one above satisfied
Tears dried
Friends lied
Almost no one is truthful
Deceiving each other to move forward
Ugly screaming passed through their throat
Hitting oneself in their head
Whilst cursing those in power
In the other realm
Laid down in the cold streets
As the rain pours
Along with the drips from eyes
Hands grasping the thin blanket
Soft murmurs of prayer
Leaves the chapped lips of the undeserving
The one high up
Looking out the window
Wishing to lay foot on the soft grass
Light wind inviting her to reach out
Holding her hand out
Only to put it back
Once remembered her position as a leader
In the end, none is happy
The poor cries in pain
Those who carry a bag full of gold smiles to hide the pain
The leader sacrifices herself to devote her to her duties
But deep down,
In the shattered heart of three
Remembers a line that is memorized by all
“For pain to go, happiness shall be tested”
The spirit of the love that is reminded to them
Stops the flow of thoughts
Packed them all in one bag
The one in the golden castle, smiling to herself, her people is her priority
Two siblings promising to complete their education
To not wander in the streets and help those in similar situations
Those who are locked away
A little ray still present in their hearts
Crumbles of shine painted in their eyes
For we have to grow from the box called, ‘Fear’.

This piece of writing was just a way of informing myself that it's okay to be vulnerable at times and that those feelings are normal. Those feelings of fear creep into one's heart and make them lose all interests, this poem reminds us to continue on without worrying about someone.
