Warrior
Her grasp is rough as her fingers slid into mine
Her sweaty palm against mine
I turn my head to face her
She pays no attention to me
Her attention is focused on fighting the evil in the world with the sword of her words
A drop of sweat rolls down from her temple to her cheek
She wipes it aggressively with the back of her hand
I run as she takes me with her, into our own world of love and peace
We run out of the world full of violence and hate
As we walk through our world, everyone is with each other
No one is spewing hate, everyone is sharing love
I look at my own love, who’s right in front of me
I look at the black wisps of her hair that have curled up like springs
My eye flit over her face just as the bun atop her head comes loose
Her hair tumbles down her back as if it was woven with magic
Her eyes, which are pale ocean blue, seem to be sparkling in the light
She’s glowing, her skin reflects the sun as if it were crafted out of gold and bronze
Her face wears an expression of anxiety and pain
She looks like a warrior
One that could jump out of a fairytale book and whisk you away from danger
Like she could be my knight in shining armor
And save me from all the dangers of the evil world
