The Beautiful Burden

I can’t believe I let this happen
My only child
He was such a young innocent child
Such a kind and gentle Spirit
I can’t believe I just watched as it happened
I could’ve stopped what was happening
But I didn’t
But I’m glad I didn’t
He had it coming
He stole everything from me
I had a bright future ahead of me
But it was all stripped from me
All because of him
His beautiful birth was the end of my beautiful future
He deserved all the pain he received
