My star is no longer
There you were my star,
gleaming in the night sky,
dancing as the moonlight shines on you,
and you became the spotlight of its radiant light
Then you began to burst,
transform into something else
There you were my star,
howling at the full moon
Your nose became longer,
and your body stronger
Claws for fingers and a furry tail,
grow out from your body
There you sat my star,
scars, and scratches all over
Blood dripping,
skin peeling,
tears pouring out like rain
Then a stake through the heart,
and you combust
Your body turned to dust,
then the North winds blew,
and away you went
But your soul floated there,
stationary in the air,
shining like the radiant full moon
Right then and there,
you vanished my star,
your soul parting this world
And right then and there,
I saw your soul rising to the sky,
and you became a bright ball of gas and light,
shining with the full moon

This poem is called 'My star is no longer' and it is about a werewolf. The person 'narrating' the poem is called Hiliary Miller, the star which she talks about is her husband (Rewn Lupar). Her husband transforms into a werewolf every full moon, usually, he comes back without any injuries, so she never asks him where he's been. However, that particular night she decided to follow him, she saw him dancing in the moonlight right before the transformation. It is clear in the poem that she saw his transformation in the lines "Your nose became longer, and your body stronger". She noticed him going and she followed him and saw that the wolf that she called her husband was injured, this can be seen in the lines "There you sat my star, scars, and scratches all over, Blood dripping, skin peeling, tears pouring out like rain".
Hiliary witnessed the murder of her husband when she saw a person stab her husband with a sharp wooden stake, this is shown in the lines "Then a stake through the heart, and you combust". After witnessing the murder of her beloved, se noticed that her husband's soul was still there and she talking to it, knowing that his soul was all she had left of him. After a little while, she saw the soul vanish, this was not the end though. She saw the soul rising to the sky and after it had completely disappeared, a bright star appeared in the sky. She thought this was her husband and started crying.
