Life’s a game and you have to play,

can you win?

Life’s a trick,

can you land it?

Life’s a trip,

where will you go?

I was in the programs to help me become a “better student,”

I just never seemed to put in enough effort.

The older kids use to bully me but I had friends by my side,

life would be hell if I didn’t have my loved ones.

I would call people names, I once flushed a kids sweatshirt,

but I’ve changed, trying harder just to be better. 

I’m still living,

living my life like it’s my last day.

I’m still trying, 

trying to go down the right pathway.

I’m still praying,

praying that i’ll be something someday.

I know I’ll make it one day,

at least that is what my parents say.

If you work hard you can achieve anything,

well that’s what my doctor thinks. 

But one thing I’ve learned,

Success isn’t attainable from putting forth enough effort.

You have to show your passionate with what you do,

Just to stand out.
