A Poem for Ama
Through the fog and the cold
She walked
Through the diagnosis
She walked
Through the radiation
She walked
Through the chemo
She walked
Through the tears
She walked
Through the heartache
She walked
Until she could no longer stand
She walked
Now I walk for her
Cancer is so limited
It cannot cripple love
It cannot shatter hope
It cannot corrode faith
It cannot destroy the peace
It cannot kill friendship
It cannot suppress memories
It cannot silence courage
It cannot invade the soul
It cannot steal eternal life
It cannot conquer the spirit

I lost my Ama at 3 almost 4. She died on April 30, 2009.
I don't remember much about her, so all of this is from stories that I have heard from my aunts, uncles, my Bompa, my dad, and my cousins.
