Where I'm From
Where I’m from all you hear is
gunshots and police sirens .
You see white sheets covering bodies
and you hear mothers crying .
One side beefing with the other
brothers shooting brothers
do they really love each other?
Homicides on the news everyday.
Family and friends wondering
How to take the pain away.
Bodies dropping like flies
blood still lies where people’s loved ones died.
We are supposed to be the City of Brotherly
Love but it’s filled with hate.
People want to live instead of
seeing their fate.
Where I’m from there is no love
in my city.
I hate it it’s destroyed i just wished
It looked pretty.
There is no peace just wreck and havoc.
Balloon releases and burying caskets.
They don’t care about other families
They only care about themselves
They don’t think about how
Killing could get them life
In jail.
They just want to
Kill,kill,kill.
Instead of trying to help.
There’s to little kids in school
And to many guns on the shelves
