my alma mater was books .

Born a colored women,
Thats what I am,
Born to be discriminated,
By the black and white man.

      I am colored .

Living is not an option,
Sp survivings the plan,
Long walks through fire,
The fiery haterd of a man.

     I am colored .

A skirt and boobs,
Is a means of an invitation ?
No permission given,
Because the voice of colored lady,
Is taken for granted.

     I am colored .

I’ll take it no more,
Pay attention to these words,
ive spoken spoken,
By the time im done,
Your perception of a colored women,
Is taken for granted.

     I am colored .

My hips will sway,
By whatever means it wants,
Do you hear me yet ?
Am I loud enough ?

       I am colored .

I’ll glimmer,
while your surrounded by a silhouette,
a darkness of your hatred,
Because its me you cant get.

       I am colored .

I’ll smile,
knowing theres pain in your heart,
The pain of losing your hold on me,
Cause this colored womens to smart.

       I am colored .

I aint no joke,
Can you feel me ?
The power that elopes me,
Is a symbol of my feelings.

     I am colored .

Born a colored women,
Thats what I am,
Born to be powerful,
Great and scared of no man.

    I am colored .
