What if every dream was kept in a building

Like a museum, maybe, or a massive

Cathedral

With rows and rows of stories,

Each in their own jar

Laid out neatly on shelves,

And a name on the jars --

One dream for one person

Maybe a blue mist or some white slime

Or just a sprinkling of black glitter and sequins

But no dreams the same

(Why would they be?)

And of course different floors

for different people

and different dreams

And maybe some sleepers

Somewhere in the rooms

decide to make a little bit

-just a little bit mind you-

of Mischief

and you'd find them mixing up their dreams

Whoops

And two dreamers

Maybe on opposite sides of the world

Would be dreaming a Same Dream

(But of course, they wouldn't know)

so

What would it be like

if every dream

was

kept in

a building??

This poem reminds me of the B.F.G. and his bottles of dreams. I really like this idea of having everyone in the worlds dreams in one building and the idea that others can come and look at them since they are in a big museum. :-)
