Dandelions
Roses use to grow in places you lead me
they grew all threw the spring and summer
but when winter came the ground turned sour
wilting the vibrant roses we once called ours
when spring came again
the whole in my heart had been filled with dandelions that had grown back
over the most broken and dried pieces of earth
were new signs of life
and rain didn't pour down from the skies
but only misted the air around me
and my dandelions grew and covered all of the ground
every place that had once been filled with thorns now replaced with a softer yellow
no broken ground was left
the dandelions had turned it soft once again
allowing more flowers to grow
and the places where my heartached had been long forgotten
and mended
by the dandelions and forgiveness that was endless
