Empty
piece by piece
I paint a picture
each gap has a resident
each resident a friend
they click into place
made for each other
(or so they seem)
they form words
and phrases of color
perfect, beautiful, simple --missing--
one
stil ted
phrase
an abyss of black
the Empty writhes in her cage
I can(not) fix this
I can fill the empty
(does she need to be filled
or the others removed)
one piece is easily found
(and lost)
I can do this a lone
(as alone as the Empty?)
I belong here
(and i don’t?)
my Game
(is this a game?)
my prisoner
(She is lonely)
my job
(share the burden)
there is no room
for two
(rather, there is no room
for you)
You’re twisted
morphed from a different
standard
I fit
(i redefine the word)
I stay
(you have yet to arrive)
I will fill the empty
(perhaps she is here for a reason)
(to fill the empty
you must know the empty)
I know her
and her transparency
(but once you glance in her direction
her gaze will haunt you
forever unbroken)
