Poetry, I say
Must be a
Wild and empty-handed thing
No rules, no lies
I must say I think that you may be wrong
I feel that I
Could be a song
Running through a river valley
Strong.
A dot intentionally
Put there to be
Leaned on
I think abstract may be
The best way to go
For this one case
Broken up, you say
Pieces missing here
And there
Too fast to capture all
I think
That is the main
Challenge
Grabbing at the straws
Too much to handle
I wish that I was more still
Smaller may be simpler
But weakness
Doesn’t feel quite right
Goldilocks was most definitely correct
Even if she did not want to
Be
Don’t fret, child
You are not
Meant to understand
It is
Intentionally put there
To help you slip and
Fall.
Subjectively, they say
But isn’t it all
I may be a madman
And you may be too tall.

I was grasping at straws, and struggling to get anything down on paper. This is what came out of it.
