Death
I wave to you
Across an oceans blue
Light years away you stand
Glowing lantern in hand
Dusk turns to dawn
Nonetheless, I carry on
Sun drips down my face
Coating me in golden lace
Through cascading mountains and haunted forests I trek
Until the sea is but a tiny speck
The big yellow moon watches over my shoulder
As the wind howls in agony and the atmosphere grows colder
When finally I reach you there
Cloaked in ebony, you stare
I can feel my soul bending
Shifting and ascending
To galaxies far away
Where one day I shall stay
And start anew, this half life
Submerge my head below the strife
Follow the light wherever it takes me
Open my heart, and begin to embrace thee
