Jealous
Your Bed. You know, I never really believed anyone when they said jealousy can get the best of someone. Most are jealous of other people. Well, that isn’t the case for me.
I’m jealous of something so harmless. Something that’s most likely everyone’s favorite hello and hardest goodbye.
Your bed.
I’m jealous of your pillows; the way you lay your head ever so gently on them. Much like the way you once laid on me.
I’m jealous of your blankets; the way you wrap yourself in it for warmth and comfort. Much like the way you used to wrap your arms around me.
I’m jealous of the way you see your bed; you run to it after a long day. Much like the way you used to look at me after a long day.
I’m jealous of your mattress; the way it holds you up and supports you. Much like the way I supported you.
Oh, how I’m jealous of something so harmless.
Your bed.
