Work
Look.
If you want to be you, be you.
If you want to leave, leave.
If you want to stay, stay.
If you want to be smart, be smart.
If you want to be better, be better.
If you want to be great, be great.
It’s that simple.
I’m sick of hearing people complain about dead-end jobs, low salaries, bad grades, toxic relationships, and laziness.
If you want it, go get it.
This is life.
You aren’t going to get a free pass.
Your dreams aren’t going to land in your lap.
Things are not always okay. You have to make them okay.
You have to work for what you want.
You have to believe in yourself.
So if you’re not trying, if you’re not giving this s*** everything you’ve got, then shut up.

I work all day, every day on my writing. I go to poetry slams, I post on this website, I get people to criticize me. I criticize myself. I'm so good my English teacher has to give me alternate assignments. I'm in eighth grade and I'm acing AP work and tests. I'm making moves, and then people are talking to me about how nothing is happening for them, except they're not even trying. They want to be great but they just laze around and complain.
