The soundtrack to my emotions

I don’t go a day without it

Down the halls

In the comfort of my bed

It’s like a friend that can almost never let you down.

There for me when I cry

There for me when I want to dance

Driving me to the want of immortalizing myself just the same

Driving me to push through another day.

Without it I am just another soul with nothing to call my own

Isolating me more as it’s as much a conversation piece

As it is notes put together that make a sad girl feel like she belongs.

Nothing is quite like it.

Varying voices placing their stamp on time

Making it mine to see that I’m not alone in my experiences.
