Rhapsodies of Self-Love
When you're in a rut,
Think of all the reasons why
You used to love yourself.
Before people started telling you
What's pretty and what's not.
I love my eyebrows because they're bushy
And they're mine.
I love my little leaf-shaped ears
Because they're mine.
I love my toes.
I get them from my dad.
My nose.
Exactly my mom's.
My shoulders.
Because they are strong.
But even if they weren't strong,
I'd love them anyway
Because they are mine.
