The Darkness

I find peace in the darkness
It's like the arms of a friend
Being wrapped around my waist
Like the warm waters of the abyss
Washing over me
Like my endless tears being gently wiped
from my puffy eyes
Like the stars in the night sky
Comforting me
Like the soft waves of music
Reaching my ears
Like a soft voice whispering
Reassurance to me
Like endless warmth covering me
I'm at ease when I'm alone
I can cry knowing I'll be comforted
For I find peace in the darkness
