Passive
My body relaxes
In the sofa; becoming passive
Fingers scrolling; tracing up and down
My mind gets lost in the iPhone; without a sound
Time passes and ticks
I didn’t get up or do anything! Only my eyes remain affixed
The door bell rings, I don’t get up; nothing can make me stand
Upright and view others’ needs; instead of my own demand
There are actually other things I could do
Bake, clean, read, write; why can’t I see through
This dull process of Passive; having a body detained
And pulled back by a reeling chain
Losing and fading the desire for Willingness
Dragging myself towards Nothingness
