The Memorable Dress
Youthful as a budding tree,
innocent as grace itself,
unbelieving of scary things—
No death,
No loss,
No heartbreak,
No foul.
Playing with little dolls
brought up one thing,
a special affair,
one tiny dress that brought much grief.
Loss of someone so near,
a sister,
it may appear.
Fancying the dress,
bringing her closer,
even though she desires to know,
what may have been
with a sister till the end.

In my poetry class we did an activity and we had to write a poem about someone else's story and this story impacted me the most. Her story was about a tiny dress that belonged to her sister before she passed away and it meant a lot to her, along with being an item she was close with, the only thing bringing her close to her sister.
