searching for a love that wont ever be found.
a girl beaten, battered and torn,
goes upon her life in a cacoon of who she always wished she could be.
an empty shell of a person no one loves,
she never could grasp the heart of others like they did hers.
it was a tragedy,
this young soul.
she had given her love to everyone before her,
not gaining an ounce in return.
she fell in love with everyone she met,
from boys with straight blonde hair and lip rings,
to girls with messes of curls and bright eyes waiting.
but no one loved her back.
she just,
fell short.
they talked about how wonderful she was,
how her smile lights up their life and
how her eyes shined with radiance,
how she deserved the world,
and yet, no one gave it to her.
maybe it was her fault,
or maybe it was theirs,
but it was funny how she worked.
she wished on shooting stars and 11:11s in hopes of someone,
anyone,
to love her back.
to hold her heart in their hands and caress her entire soul.
but sadly, this girl just didnt fit in a cookie mold.
everyone wanted the same old, same old.
but she was too poetry to actually be a person,
and maybe people were terrified of holding living poetry in their hands.
but that was all the girl ever wanted.
someone who loved poetry- i mean-
someone who loved her enough
to keep her.
