What do you do when your heart breaks?
What do you do when your heart breaks?
I can’t seem to give myself an answer.
Do you let it break, then pick up the pieces?
Do you hold it together by your sheer will?
I don’t know what to do.
It is cracking under my skin.
Each powerful pump pushing pure blood
The Blood rushing everywhere in me
Love following the blood.
It is surrounded by a white cage,
a protector against threats
but still it cracks.
Its shattered remains are visions in my head
in the very air that I breathe.
My heart is breaking.
My world is collapsing.
My love is crying.
The one I thought I could hold.
The one I wanted to hold.
The bittersweet pains in my chest
Are not just from the fading furnace of love
But of the embrace of being alone
All alone
