Two Seeds
Some seeds are lucky,
born into rich soil
and into good care
They’re watered and fed
without leaving their bed
Take no time at all
to flourish bright and tall
Others, less lucky than these
Blow high and low
Through valleys and trees
Landing far from their homeland
Farther than they first see
Nobody is here for them
To keep them watered or fed
They grapple and struggle
To simply get out of bed
If ever reaching the sunrays
They might soon end up dead
For the earth on this side
is full of unfriendly dread,
Leaving the poor little seed
with his heart never freed
