The Power of Words, The Power of Silence
The power of Words,
The power of silence.
Both significantly potent in their own way.
words,
I shout and scream and tear out my vocal box just to get my point across,
Just to show you I care.
My mind, racing more like pacing,
I worry myself into despair
But it's all because I care, I care.
I care too much.
Silence,
Fear the silence.
The dark thoughts of a person's mind has consumed them.
They no longer feel the need to express the pain that lingers in their heart.
The screaming and shouting all comes to an end.
You should’ve listened then.
But now there is nothing,
But silence.
Expliation: A girl expressing how she feels towards a person but then she stops caring, and she stops expressing herself
I wrote this piece in response to an argument I had with me and my partner. I wanted to expose the frustation a person feels when they are trying to express their emotions to the people they love. It seems like no matter how much you verbalize it, they just don't get it.
