The Day Our Savior Came
The day that we see as one full of presents and toys,
Was the night a Savior came in the form of a baby boy.
He lay, swaddled in a manger; while Joseph and the Blessed Virgin
Wonder why they were chosen.
They sit and rock him to sleep,
As a group of shepherds appears with their sheep.
They claim they came from near and far
To follow the heavenly star.
The baby boy lay there staring up at the sky;
Already knowing one day he would die,
For this Savior would make it on His cross,
So He could render our loss.
Saved by His love, we shall praise His name;
For we are the reason that He came.
