Something So Simple
Just a leaf in the wind;
With billions of others grown
that float just like it.
I follow.
The breeze swerves it between the winding trees.
In a dance I pace behind.
Leaf wait for me!
A game I want to play,
A race that should never be won,
Something light and immortal.
The breeze stays still.
I mourn when the leaf falls.

This peice was written while I was listening to, Symphony No.3 in C Minor, Op.78, R.176 "Organ Symphony": la.Adagio-Allegro moderato. Origionally composed by Camille Saint-Saëns. I find that this poem has a lot of different themes behind it. I hope you enjoy it!
