Gametime
I was born for this I say to myself.
I realize i'm the guy,
Im taking the shot.
Ball in hand near half court,
Surrounded in an atmosphere
Of confidence, I drive
towards the right side of the lane.
I stop on a dime,
The squeak of my shoes as I step back,
And the smooth flick of my wrist insures
That its going in.
Arrogance floods from my body as
I jog backwards while the ball is in flight,
certain of the outcome.
Swish.
The crowds roar is awakening to a deaf man.
I was born for this I repeat,
But this time I say it aloud,
For everyone to hear.
