Rhythm
Every word you speak is like a rhythm in my ears
Always beating never ending
Even when you're not around
Even when you don't say a word.
Your eyes scream silently at the sight of her in longing
It makes me want to run away from you until my feet grow raw.
I look into your eyes and I see pits of lies.
Things that you never told me
But I knew on my own.
There's things they weren't told about us. The black and blue that lives in this house.
They just know.
You sip your coffee with a smirk
And I can't believe I ever loved you.
