Performance
There are times of reasoning, practicality, and sense.
There are times of knowledge with little recompense.
But knowledge itself isn’t desirable enough;
at philosophy’s expense, logic is a bluff
formed out of a wish for acclaim,
accolades, awards, and
recognition.
Most of life is a performance,
an exhibition to behold.
It holds no significance beyond idols we uphold.
Therefore, reason is also just a show.
Practicality is a production.
Sense is a spectacle.
