Inside my eyelids
I lay in bed at night
Staring at the ceiling
The tears carving crystal tracks
Down my dirty face
Carving me and changing me in every way
I close my eyes
And the memories play
Inside my eyelids
My own movie theater
A romantic comedy
Starring you
Except it’s not so funny anymore
I see you with her
And I try to be fine
But I can’t stop the tears
From streaming down my face
Then I close my eyes
And I see your smile
Just as bright as the sun
There’s no doubt I love you
Everytime I see you
My eyes light up a little
And when your not there
Things are a little bit darker
Things are perfect inside my eyelids
We are together
Things are happy
But someday
I have to open my eyes to reality
