The Dog
A Wednesday afternoon
The bugs whine as you walk downtown
The streets are empty except for you
Or so you thought
As you walk you see a Golden retriever
Laying in pain on the ground
It doesn’t have an underbelly
You can see it’s intestines dragging on the ground as it gets up
It tries to walk to you
It looks so happy to see someone
You just walk past it
And don’t look back
