Leaving
As I dance on this ice covered floor
My bare feet prickling at the cold ground.
My body growing blue but never chivering.
I think of leaving you.
Walking right out of your hot hands,
I'd like to never be touched by them again.
I strap on my dancing shoes with warm soles, and as I walk I feel the warmth melt into the ground, and become cold.
And I think of leaving you.
I begin to dance with only myself and the mystical feel, creating a show.
As I dance I concentrate on my hands and penetrate the thought of yours.
I dance farther into this cave filled with light, creating more distance between us.
My fingertips are blue, at the thought of you.
And suddenly I stop.
And I think of leaving you.
I close my eyes and when i open them again the light is gone.
The light in my eyes is gone.
I finally chiver, a short sensation.
And feel my last breath leave my body.
Blue, all blue, at the thought of you.

I wrote this in a class on the topic of leaving, about a girl dancing and seeing her cloud of her last breath glowing a neon blue and then dying. Much more than this happens in the piece. enjoy!
