two sides to every coin
the way you hug me is all-encompassing and leaves me breathless
the way you hug me is far too much and suffocates me
you walk around like you just don’t care
like you own the place
you walk around apathetically
like everything is expendable
everything you touch turns so bright
everything you touch is consumed by fire
you ask me to text you back as soon as possible
because you worry
you get mad when I don’t text you back as soon as possible
because you are controlling
we hang out in secret because you think it’s exciting
we hang out in secret because you are ashamed of me
your hand is on my thigh as you drive
because you love the contact
your hand invades my space as you drive
because you are insatiable
it seems that you are what I’ve been looking for
it seems that you are what I’ve been running from all these years
you are my best friend
I’d even call you my holy resurrection
you are my worst enemy
I’d even call you my imminent demise
