It's not at all what you thought (America)
No, it's not at all what you think
Instead of the wonderfull country you'd thought it'd be
Filled with millions of prodigys
It's not always blue skys
and clear seas
Instead It's filled with regret
Yet
We can't seem to make the effort
To make this country better
And every generation that goes by
They're all really telling lies
We ask ourselves why
But that's just something we can't deny
