Happy Madness
I’m playing in the park
A rose red slide
A sky blue slide
A grassy green monkey bars
A bruise purple swing
And a forgetful parent
I run around playing my little games
Tag
Monkey on the wood chips
Four Square
Kick-his-balls
And Forgetful parent
Playing those silly little hand games
Apple apple open open
Rock Paper Scissor
Cat’s Cradle
Red hands
Hit the child
And Forgetful parents
Forgetful Parents
Where are they?
The grassy landscape begins to peel away
To reveal
White padded walls
The child I was playing with
Turns into
A man with a clipboard and pills
My once free hands
Are now bound to my body
I yell 2 words
“FORGETFUL PARENTS!”
Tears fall
As pill fall into my throat
My body goes numb
They are still watching me
My forgetful parents

Sometimes your parents don't want to pay attention to what you're doing. I wanted to express how terrible that feeling can be and might become.
