No Budge
When you feel hurt, you hold it.
The pain rests in your hand like a personal reminder;
Of mistakes that happened, of words that weren’t bit.
No matter what, you won’t let forgiveness be an unwinder.
This is grudge.
The feelings you hold and won’t let budge.
The voices in your mind telling you that you can’t forget.
They must feel regret.
Can grudges be called an action?
Or are they merely a distraction?
But what will happen if you let go?
Perhaps you’ll lose the pride you were trying to show.
Maybe you’ll become the bigger person,
Finally realizing that grudges are nothing short of a diversion.
This is grudge.
The feelings we hold and won’t let budge.
The voices in our minds telling us we can’t forget.
They must feel regret.
