I start off at community college

Filled with such knowledge

Summer’s gone; same with the ongoing warmth

Now replaced by a recurring, windy north

Legs shaking slightly, heart reverberating

I enter; dreading what’s unexpected…waiting…

I tread through the halls; through various steps

Soft, footsteps sounding; the halls seem to perplex

Me; on which number my classroom is

Third floor….wait, did I miss?!

Finally, I enter the room;  learning basically about introductions

And classroom materials; my mind absorbing like a suction

Class finishes; I go off to the next one

Which lectures on math; not very fun

Learned about different numeration systems

My mind scrolling; through these interesting definitions

Class ends; I go home

Thinking, that wasn’t as bad; though

I’m not sure how the year’s going to be

Just need to stop worrying and just wait and see
