Baseball
I was the most valuable player
but only because I didn't cry
I didn't whine
I didn't fight
The boys were wound tightly
I kept it loose, kept it easy
And so I won
I was the most dependable, amacable
I thank my dad
He didn't guzzle and growl
He was soft in mind and word
He kept me cool
I'm my father's boy
But so were the other boys
I guess I got the best one
Not the strongest, loudest, manliest
The best one
