Benji

Benji was a bunny rabbit
he hopped and he plopped
through the flowers red and white
he lost his spring one rainy day
his steps didn't lift him anymore
he didn't bounce as high as the other bunny boys and girls
his mama said he wasn't trying hard
but he knew it was his best
the best a boy could do
but all the other bunnies only knew
the Benji that bounced brightly like a bunny does
they didn't want the broken boy
and so he hopped and plopped away
goodbye mama goodbye bunny boys and girls
he cried them all away
and he was happy.
