Why am I here?
Every night when I’m alone, lying on my cold, yet comfortable bed.
Thoughts swirl around my brain, thoughts of humanity origins.
Switching to lie on my side, a question that has hunted us since the beginning of time.
A question with infinite answers to it.
“Why are we here?” “What is our purpose?”
Are we here for no reason? God, are you up there?
Is there an existence of such a powerful being?
Were we created by many beings by means of genetic mutation?
Is that why the double helix DNA strand is but one of many?
Looking around my dark, gloomy room. I face towards my mirror.
The person I see, is only one of many beings.
Humanity is so bitty and irrelevant, there’s no reason for us to be here.
I lie back on my bed.
The thoughts that keep me awake, are the ones to put me to sleep.
Thinking about that same old familiar question.
I close my eyes and drift the night away…
Why am I here?
